Mission

We are building Intelligence Amplification (IA): the greater sum formed by the partnership of human intelligence and artificial intelligence.

IA will make computation simpler to access, more powerful, and more widely accessible.

By increasing the efficiency of the human-computer relationship, we aim to decrease—not increase—the amount of time we spend in front of screens every day.

The Significance of IA

The invention of the modern steam engine in Britain in the late 18th century changed the world by mechanizing physical work previously performed by humans. AI, the ability for a computer to perform intelligent work once reserved only for humans, is the Industrial Revolution of our time.

The Artificial Intelligence revolution will reach every corner of the globe—and beyond. The only question is: will AI be a force that strengths equality, or deepens inequality? Our mission is to ensure that this rising tide truly lifts all boats.

Haldune was founded in early 2024 with the singular goal of building IA for the 21st century and beyond.

Haldune was founded by a group of students at the University of Chicago and is currently headquartered in Illinois.
